These two shows are going to overlap each other and I thought it'd be funny if all the reaction posts were merged together.

CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL CARD

0. STARTING BATTLE KICKOFF ~ DDT Provided Tag Match

0. STARTING BATTLE 2 ~ TJPW Provided 10-Woman Tag Match: Hyper Misao, Yuki Aino, Pom Harajuku, Haruna Neko & YuuRI Vs Nao Kakuta, Mahiro Kiryu, Moka Miyamoto, Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami

quote:

Raku is off the show due to being in poor physical condition this week. YuuRI from Ganpro takes her place in the Tokyo Joshi Pro 10-Woman Tag Match on the pre-show.

0. STARTING BATTLE 3 ~ DDT Vs Ganbare☆Pro Battle: Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani Vs Ken Ohka, Yuna Manase & Mizuki Watase

quote:

The final press conference for the show included a confrontation between Eruption and Ganbare☆Pro. Everyone noticed that Ken Ohka was missing until he showed up once again all rolled up in tape. He said he was the first person to show up today and when he went to the restroom, somebody attacked him from behind and rolled him up in tape. Yukio Sakaguchi denied doing it but later posted a picture of himself and Hideki Okatani holding Ohka hostage in said restroom. Saki Akai also joked that Ohka should avoid going to the toilet in Saitama Super Arena or else it will happen to him again. Despite the attempt to wind up Ganpro, Ohka prevented Mizuki Watase and Yuna Manase from starting a fight with Eruption right there.

quote:

There will be an announcement from Keiji Muto before the main show begins.

1. NOAH Vs DDT Battle: Kinya Okada & Kai Fujimura Vs Toi Kojima & Yuya Koroku

quote:

Toi Kojima & Yuya Koroku are joining forces for the young battle between DDT and NOAH. Koroku said everything he’s learned in BURNING will make him absolutely unbeatable and prove that DDT is better than NOAH. Kojima was injured at last year’s “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL” and was left frustrated by the amount of time he missed because of it. This match will be his chance to make up for it and put that negative part of his career to bed. Kai Fujimura promises to show he has the responsibility, confidence and pride to be a NOAH wrestler. Kinya Okada however is disappointed to still be in the opening match for the second year in a row against similar opponents he beat last time. Kojima and Okada then began arguing over which company has better training. When the NOAH team left, Kojima was visibly angry over the argument.

2. TJPW Provided 6-Woman Tag Match: Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Juria Nagano Vs Hikari Noa, Suzume & Yuki Arai

quote:

Juria Nagano has been appointed the Chairwoman of the CyberFight Festival 2022 TikTok Committee. She will supervise the TikTok accounts belonging to DDT and NOAH to reach out to a larger audience and create buzz for the show.

A new theme song for TJPW will debut at the show as part of a collaboration with Square Enix. The song is called “Princess March” and is composed by Masayoshi Soken, the sound director of Final Fantasy XIV. The first play of the song will be as entrance music for Hikari Noa, Suzume & Yuki Arai in Match #2. Soken describes the song as a gorgeous orchestral style that expresses the unity of everyone clapping their hands together. He is also producing a new theme song for Yoshiki Inamura that will debut at the show too.

Tweets made by Saki Akai about her pre-match skincare routine was seen by Nivea management and opened the door to Nivea sponsoring the show! Fans attending the show can get samples of Nivea products. The winners of the TJPW 6-Woman Tag Match will also receive a sponsored prize. Several wrestlers have been egging on Nivea to give them free stuff since the news was announced.

Six members from the Kyushu idol group IQ Project will be part of Maki Itoh’s entrance. IQ Project is connected to Itoh’s former group LinQ.

3. DDT Provided 8-Man Tag Match: Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno, Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari & Akito “Cochin” Nishigaki Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Kendo Kashin, Shinya Aoki & Yumiko Hotta

4. Princess Of Princess Title Next Challenger Decision 4 Way Match: Rika Tatsumi Vs Mizuki Vs Yuki Kamifuku Vs Miu Watanabe

5. NOAH Provided 10-Man Tag Match: Takashi Sugiura, Kazuyuki Fujita, Masa Kitamiya, Daiki Inaba & Shuhei Taniguchi Vs Michael Elgin, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Rene Dupree, Simon Gotch & Timothy Thatcher

quote:

Rob Van Dam is in the country and ready to wrestle his first match in Japan since 2014. He wants to show everyone he is still RVD and is happy to be in the ring with Yoshinari Ogawa again. The two wrestled together in All Japan during the mid 1990s.

NOAH is putting out an unusual call for foreign wrestlers, offering up to $300,000 for “bounty hunters” to come over to them and increase membership for WRESTLE UNIVERSE. NOAH’s director Arihiro Takeda wants wrestlers around the world to watch “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” and to get in contact if they like what they see. How much money they will get from the $300,000 pool will depend on a case-by-case basis. Takeda said NOAH is the first promotion in CyberFight to make this offer but it can also apply to the other companies. So if any wrestlers who do not fit with them still want to take part they could be accepted by DDT, Tokyo Joshi Pro or Ganpro instead.

6. DDT Provided 8-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura, Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi Vs Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata, MAO & Asuka

7. NOAH Provided 6-Man Tag Match: Rob Van Dam, Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA Vs Kaito Kiyomiya, Daisuke Harada & YO-HEY

8. NOAH Vs DDT Battle: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Katsuhiko Nakajima, Atsushi Kotoge & Yoshiki Inamura

quote:

Kazusada Higuchi has refused to be on the same page as Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama for their inter-promotional match against NOAH, believing he can do it by himself. The three were given a chance to team up and test the waters against HARASHIMA, Yoshimura & Soma Takao. Higuchi kept his distance from his partners and had to be inadvertently tagged out to get the others involved in the match. When he got back in he continued fighting by himself so Endo & Akiyama had to come to the rescue. They cut off HARASHIMA & Yoshimura so Higuchi could beat Takao.

After the match Akiyama confronted Higuchi and asked him for a handshake to show he can trust him. Higuchi refused until Yukio Sakaguchi spoke to him. After a few words from someone he respects, Higuchi finally agreed and shook the hands of both Akiyama and Endo. Akiyama then thanked Sakaguchi while Endo said they are ready to beat NOAH at Saitama Super Arena on 12th June. Each member of a team has their target. Akiyama wants Atsushi Kotoge to charge him, Endo wants Naomichi Marufuji in perfect condition and Higuchi wants to avenge his recent time limit draw against Yoshiki Inamura.

Katsuhiko Nakajima said the “bandit”, “sumo” and “old man” are all going to wrestle circles around Atsushi Kotoge & Yoshiki Inamura so they will need his help despite NOAH and Kongo being enemies. He got into a confrontation with Kotoge that ended with the two slapping each other in the face very hard. Nakajima then grabbed a piece of paper with the DDT logo and ripped it apart. He will do so much to DDT that they will never want to go near NOAH again!

9. NOAH Vs DDT Battle ~ Special Single Match: Kenoh Vs Daisuke Sasaki

quote:

Kenoh demanded his match against Daisuke Sasaki be turned into a Hardcore Match. Sasaki attacked Kenoh with a stun gun during last weekend’s NOAH show (and attacked him the same way during an online broadcast earlier today). Kenoh claims that CyberAgent chose him to be the PR Director for the show which gives him the power to demand the match stipulation. On the one hand Kenoh is pleased because it shows that CyberAgent recognises his importance but the role is small enough to also suggest that Sanshiro Takagi thinks he is incompetent to do anything better.

The Hardcore Match between Kenoh and Daisuke Sasaki is confirmed to be no holds barred, no countouts and no rope breaks. Sasaki took over Kenoh’s video stream this week to bury NOAH. Meanwhile Kenoh is using his weekly article in ShuPro magazine demanding that DDT be disbanded and Sanshiro Takagi be banished from the industry after Kenoh beats Sasaki. Takagi has not accepted those stipulations because he always skips over Kenoh’s articles.

10. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Yuka Sakazaki

quote:

Freshly back from America, Yuka Sakazaki is ready to take on Shoko Nakajima for the Princess Of Princess Title. She wants to have a fight with Nakajima that their juniors who grew up watching them have longed to see. Sakazaki also hopes the match will be one that a cheering crowd will be proud of. Nakajima calls Sakazaki one of the best TJPW wrestlers in the world who is improving with a lot of new experience from her matches in America. Even though Nakajima is the champion, her opponent is so strong it feels like she is the challenger again. Nakajima said she will be setting off the biggest fireworks in Saitama Super Arena and show she is more than just a strong wrestler.

11. GHC Heavyweight Title: Go Shiozaki (c) Vs Satoshi Kojima

DOMINION CARD

1st Match: Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi vs United Empire (TJP, Francesco Akira & Aaron Henare)

quote:

Kicking off the afternoon’s action, a six man battle will see a preivew of championship action one week later. On June 20, Francesco Akira and TJP will challenge IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Team Six or Nine. Can they continue to ride a hot hand in Osaka Jo?

2nd Match: Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi) vs BULLET CLUB (Ace Austin, El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori)

quote:

A six man preview of June 21’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship match between Hiromu Takahashi and Taiji Ishimori, the head up a trio from LIJ and BULLET CLUB, including BC’s newest member Ace Austin. Austin turned his back on a friendship with Alex Zayne to join BULLET CLUB on June 3, a jump that the X Division Champion declared was ‘inevitable’. How will he gel with new partners tonight?

3rd Match: Toru Yano vs Doc Gallows

quote:

A special singles bout will see Toru Yano face Doc Gallows. After The Good Brothers returned to Japan on May 1 for Dontaku, Doc Gallows would have his first official NJPW match in Japan in over six years, but would be the recipient of some humiliating antics from Toru Yano. Yano would spray gallows with disinfectant, stating that he was ‘trying to clean his tiny brain’, before targeting the big man’s beard; backstage Gallows would issue a singles challenge for Dominion saying the ‘comedy act is over’. Will Yano be able to outsmart the powerful Gallows in Osaka?

4th Match: NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Championships: Suzuki-Gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, El Desperado & Zack Sabre Jr.) vs HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi)

quote:

The first of six championship matches on the night will see Suzuki-Gun move to capture HOUSE OF TORTURE’s NEVER six man titles. During Best of the Super Jr., Yoshinobu Kanemaru became the ‘Babyface Master’ for a night when he outsmarted SHO en route to an easy victory, putting SHO out of the tournament to the delight of fans worldwide. After securing victory with the Touch Out, Kanemaru was quick to grab one of the NEVER 6 man belts, and further soldified that claim alongside Zack Sabre Jr. when the dup beat EVIL and SHO in the Budokan on June 3. ZSJ said he would be happy to provide an assist in defeating the ‘house of dickheads’ and now this title match is official. Could H.O.T’s seven month reign be meeting its end?

5th Match: IWGP Tag Team Championships: United Empire (Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan) vs BULLET CLUB (Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens)

quote:

Bad Luck Fale and Chase Owens make their first defence of the IWGP Tag team Championships at Dominion when they face Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb. O-Khan and Cobb lost the tag titles in a Dontaku three way bout, not being involved in the decision as a Rocket Launcher Elbow Drop saw Hirooki Goto pinned. The former champions were quick to assert their right to a rematch, but have been frustrated at every turn since; in Washington DC, Owens would have his feet on the ropes to pin O-Khan, while the BOSJ finals in the Nippon Budokan saw United Empire cruising to victory in a six man preview until Ace Austin joined BULLET CLUB and turned the tide. Now a direct tag team battle will settle the score June 12.

6th Match- AEW Interim Championship Eliminator- Hirooki Goto vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

quote:

This Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Hiroshi Tanahashi answered a challenge from AEW World Champion CM Punk for Forbidden Door in the United Center in Chicago on June 26. On Friday June 3, Punk announced that he was injured and would be requiring surgery. As a result, he will not be competing at Forbidden Door, but will not vacate the AEW World Championship. Instead, an Interim AEW World Champion will be crowned at Forbidden Door in an NJPW vs AEW singles match.

Representing AEW will be the winner of a match between former AEW Champion Jon Moxley and the winner of an all-star battle royal, both matches taking place June 8 on AEW Dynamite. For NJPW, Hiroshi Tanahashi’s position as de facto challenger will itself be challenged. Hirooki Goto will face Tanahashi for his contendership on June 12 in a new match added to Dominion in Osaka Jo Hall.

Goto and Tanahashi’s long and storied rivalry, dates back nearly two decades and highlighted with multiple classic matches. After Goto first returned to NJPW in 2007 from Mexican excursion, he shot to IWGP Heavyweight contention, and the ensuing title match with Tanahashi was one of both men’s career favourites. Yet in their 13 matches, Goto has only been able to seize victory twice, a mark of the CHAOS warrior being deemed one of wrestling’s most proficient nearly men. Could this be the moment for Goto to seize the top prize in a different company?

7th Match: KOPW 2022: Shingo Takagi vs Taichi

quote:

The KOPW 2022 trophy will be on the line between Shingo Takagi and Taichi. After Taichi won the KOPW 2022 trophy at hyper Battle in Ryogoku, he called out Shingo Takagi to challenge him for his freshly won title. As both vowed that they would ‘wear out’ the other, the result was a 30 count fall match during Golden Fight Series that saw Shingo Takagi win a thrilling war 30-29.

In the weeks that followed though, taichi would pin Shingo Takagi for a six count with a Taichi Style Gedo Clutch at Dontaku, before the BOSJ finals saw Shingo get some revenge by pinning Taichi’s shoulders to the mat post match with a Ground Cobra. Who holds the upper hand is debatable, but at any rate, this KOPW 2022 rematch is official. The only question remains what rules will be put in place? Taichi has given Shingo ‘a day or two’ to think about it, while Takagi has declared he already has something in mind that will test Taichi ‘physically and mentally’. Stay tuned for more to come.

8th Match: NEVER Openweight Championship: Tama Tonga vs Karl Anderson

quote:

After a COVID positive saw him removed from the Nippon Budokan BOSJ final, Karl Anderson is cleared for his scheduled NEVER Openweight Championship match with Tama Tonga. After Tonga defeated EVIL to lift his first singles championship in NJPW at Dontaku, Anderson and partner Doc Gallows made their shocking return to Japanese rings, Anderson laying out Tama with a Gunstun onto the NEVER Openweight Championship.

It was along with Anderson that Tama joined the ‘core four’ of BULLET CLUB back in 2013. At the time, the young Tonga was being mentored by the Machine Gun, a mentorship that would eventually see Tonga inherit the Gunstun, and the Magic Killer double team when Gallows and Anderson left NJPW in 2016. Yet when Jay White reinducted the Good Brothers earlier this year, Tonga was squeezed out and betrayed by his former partners. Now representing Hontai, Tama got some measure of revenge on BULLET CLUB by defeating EVIL at Dontaku, and following with an emphatic Gunstun to stand victorious at the Budokan Friday night. Yet Tama can’t think about closure until he picks up a win over his former mentor in Osaka. Can he retain, or will Anderson, a finalist in the tournament to crown the first NEVER Champion, end up as the title’s 37th holder?

9th Match- IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship: SANADA vs Will Ospreay

quote:

The IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship has been embroiled in a thick layer of controversy from the start of the year. Hiroshi Tanahashi would defeat KENTA to win the title on night two of Wrestle Kingdom in a streetfight brutal enough to put KENTA on the injured list for the last five months, before losing the belt on his first defence to SANADA.

Cold Skull suffered a fractured orbital bone in the New Japan Cup at the hands of Will Ospreay, vacating the title which was set to be determined at Dontaku between Ospreay and Tanahashi, only for a last minute COVID positive to see Ishii substituted in. Tanahashi again seized the gold, and with challengers all lining up with a legitimate claim, a four way match was signed for Capital Collision.

Juice Robinson would win the four way after a low blow to Ospreay and with the Briton’s foot visibly breaking the plane of the rope. In the days leading up to the Best of the Super Jr. final, Juice and Ospreay would exchange jabs online, only for neither to be present in the Nippon Budokan owing to a sudden bout of appendicitis and a kidney infection respectively.

That Budokan event would see a further wrinkle as SANADA returned to address the crowd and declare that he was challenging for the US title he never lost on June 12 at Dominion. Though initially agreeing to three way that was signed, an about turn to receive surgery has resulted in him being stripped of the title. Can some stability be brought to the US Championship?

Main event: IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Kazuchika Okada vs Jay White

quote:

The main event of the evening will see Kazuchika Okada seek his fifth defence of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Switchblade Jay White. White made his return to Japanese competition on May 1 at Dontaku, laying out Okada with a Bladerunner and making it clear that he had been away from the world title scene long enough.

Okada and White haven’t clashed one on one since G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden. That was the scene of the Rainmaker’s one and only singles win over White, who has had Okada’s number in every situation except with a title on the line. Ever since the events of April 2019, Jay White has spoken long and often about ‘single handedly selling out’ Madison Square Garden. Now, he seeks to wear the IWGP gold into the United Center at Forbidden Door for another large scale American sellout. To do so he has to face and beat the King of the King of Sports in Osaka-Jo Hall.
