Tormentors suck as a returning/new player because there's no tooltips saying "yo, don't blow super on this guy because he won't take damage until you tickle his shoulders".

Is there dupe protection or other pseudo randomness in the game or is this some gambler's fallacy? I guess I'm just asking how these probabilities are arrived at.

If I'm paying a monthly sub I demand some sort of economy and the ability to make enemies by "need"ing a roll I didn't really need. Basically WoW sets a bunch of expectations on what your game has to provide with regard to UI and API modding that I don't think Bungie could deliver for a D3.
