I didn’t expect Deshaun Watson to get the Vic Mackey ending where he mostly escaped consequences for his egregious crimes, but has to serve three years doing the worst possible version of his job surrounded by people who obviously hate him and intend to make him as miserable as they can.

If the coaches have been assured they won't get canned, why throw more assets away on a lost season? They're not gonna get a championship level QB, anyone they do get would still take a couple weeks to settle in (by which time the Jets will be essentially out of it), and they're still committed to Rodgers next season. You're throwing away at least one more draft pick and likely worsening your own picks for what? The pride of winning 8 games instead 4?

The only one of those guys that *might* be better than Zach Wilson is Wentz. He still sucks and wouldn't get the Jets to the playoffs. Are we sure Taylor/Travis isn't just a part of the heavy re-write to the NFL script after they lost so much material with Rodgers turning into dust?
