Meh, he said he's on the Breece Hall trajectory and he'll be ready for Week 1. It's March. I'm not worrying about an ACL recovery in TYOOL 2024 unless I have explicit reason to.

We should keep in mind that the Dolphins haven't won a playoff game since 2000 and we can all agree that is extremely funny.

Vontae Davis retiring mid-game was a Jets tier laugh. And the Bills have suffered in being losers in completely unbelievable fashions these past several years that no one else can hold a candle to (Hail Murray, 13 seconds, JJ catch, Wide Right II, probably three or four more I forgot).

The Dolphins drafting the Ted Ginn family is in that category as well. Most of the noteworthy bad things I associate with the Dolphins are a bit darker, though—Richie Incognito, letting Tua play on a short week with a concussion, Pat White being demolished, etc.

The Patriots obviously mostly just spent the past two decades winning Super Bowls but the post-Brady years I guess have been Jets-esque. Hiring Matt Patricia as OC and the Mac Jones saga and such.

Don't forget Flores being a tyrant.

But at least on the comical side we had the stupid co offensive coordinators, and Stephen Ross burning a first round pick to have a lunch date with Tom Brady.

never, like, count out Touchdown Tom, man
People wrap up “bad” into one big blanket but in reality there’s
- mad bad (Sean Payton broncos)
- sad bad (browns pre nasty man)
- boring bad (browns post nasty man, pre tyreek dolphins, most of the bills down years, post Brady pats)
- funny bad (that niners interim, buttfumble, seeing ghosts, Zach Wilson, vontae davis)
- mystifying and/or mystical “how could this even happen”/”how could you think anything else would happen” bad (Aaron rodgers Achilles, wide right 2023, Bryce young) [these seem like opposites but actually they’re unified by only happening due to cosmic interference]

The jets have been blessed by consistently staying the last two categories, while most teams that are bad for a while vacillate between all of them

Hey now the Pats are by no means immune to clownshoes losses. Never forget the Jakobi Meyers lateral that may or may not have made Bill run him out of town. Or the Miracle in Miami.

Yeah I disagree with Phobeste that the post-Brady Pats are boring bad. Maybe the Cam year was boring bad, but they've been staunchly funny bad the past two seasons. Their billionaire owner was soliciting handjobs at a Florida strip mall! They're just lucky to share a division with the Jets.

She could of have been so much more but the writers just didn't care!
I think the Jets as an organization have a ton of unearned confidence and bravado - perhaps just a part of being an NYC adjacent team - that prompts them to live in an alternative reality bubble where they talk and act as though they always know what they're doing and are only a few seasons removed from a Super Bowl win. This overgrown sense of self assurance just constantly runs smack dab into reality when the never ending series of poor decisions they make once again leads them into the NFL's basement. There is something special about this, call it cognitive dissonance perhaps, but it's been a hallmark of the Jets since the Rex Ryan era: the Jets ownership, FO and coaches continually act and demand the respect of the media and their fans despite failing to deliver results year in and year out.

yeah, the whole 2013-2017 stretch for miami wasn't truly dire football (went 38-42 and 6-10 was their worst record) but it certainly didn't feel like it. i'd throw cocaine coach and the initial circus around interim HC dan campbell in as well. this division just loves messy poo poo

First of all I said multiple times that there was a decent, non zero chance that Wilson would be on the 2024 roster and I would also bet on the Jets' 3rd QB this season having to play when you have a starter who is 41 and a backup who is on the wrong side of 35 and always hurt himself.
