May I also recommend 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to allow a narrower taskbar and get rid of the show desktop button.

It's BatteryBar, it's a little ugly but does significantly better than the Windows piece of poo poo one that's constantly oscillating for me. Also tracks total capacity/wear which is nice. Thanks for the link for the taskbar tweaker, it's really nice.

e: it's a little better if you use the VistaBar skin (allows a decent contrast between unplugged/plugged unlike much of the others) and ofc Segue UI for the font
