Bad EXP received

"Help me wake up the others!"

The rest of the party is still completely zonked.

Party's still not perfectly awake. Pretty sure Eight and Angelo have their Rings of Awakening still actually.

"I've decided to let you off this time, because I overslept, too. We have my sister to thank for that."

No matter which sibling you pick, this happens. The other drugs the food and gets a head start.

"No time to waste discussing it now. We can still catch up. Come on! Let's go to the Dragon Graveyard!"

This gives us freedom to pilfer the mansion, but nothing notable comes out of it.

Kinda wished we could've met this guy, though.

"Here we are, deeply embroiled in our own voyage, and you undertake additional duties as a bodyguard!"

Trode's complaining next to the Desert Chapel, which is north of the graveyard.

I guess I've not really shown off Jessica's two new spells, have I?

They deal some pretty good damage, and the Happy Hat's recovery is offsetting the MP cost.

Dancing flames as you might imagine use fire breaths. They'd be threatening if we weren't coated in elemental resistances.

Kacrackle hits all enemies like Jessica's Bang spells do. Useful, even if the dancing flames resist it.

There's a notorious one right outside the graveyard.

It's pretty resistant to physical damage.

That's about all it has going for it. It'd be great if we were looking for rank F or D, and we weren't at S, you know?

"Carrie's already inside. If we hurry, we might be able to catch her! Listen, I can't lose. This is my chance to teach her to respect her older brother!"

Cash doesn't fight at all. That's fine, last NPC who tried was Charmles who might as well have not even bothered.

First chest, which stands out against the brown backgrounds, has the map. This is nice as the Dragon Graveyard is a bit confusing.

Oh, and, uh the random encouters.

Normally they're sort of an afterthought but here they're going to highlight I'm trying this a bit early.

Not this one, though. Beelzebuzzes mostly do nothing. They can cast Kerplunk but I've almost never seen them do it. If there's an AI trigger I don't know about I'd love to know it, since revived enemies give EXP again.

I imagine using boomerangs and Kacrakcle to kill them off isn't quite it.

The dragons at the Dragon Graveyard are the things that make you really sweat bullets here.

Blazing breath hurts. It hurts a ton. Most of the concern comes from a bunch of dragons just breathing on your party until they're all dead.

Pretty good experience, though.

The Dragon Graveyard is full of dragon bones, so huge the party can walk on them.

"So you're saying our fighting is a good thing!? Huh! You're obviously an only child!"
"...Actually I do have an older brother, but we don't really speak. He seems to wish I didn't exist."
"Well, he may be a pain in the butt, but he's still your brother. You should just feel lucky to have him."
"Oh, come off it! If you feel like that, then why are you two always arguing!?"

"It isn't hard to imagine one of them raising a stink after it's all said and done... Making all of this a colossal waste of time."

HOLY poo poo IT'S A

...never mind, let's talk Tyrantosaurus.

gently caress them. They hit so loving hard. And yes they have blazing breath too.

Thankfully Whack has a respectable success rate.

Man, that Metal King Slime just had to run, huh?

Most random encounters have several dragons, and it's a race to see if you can neutralize them before blazing breaths pile up.

If there's one left, I try to have Yangus get some extra items off of them. Both have Dragon Scales at 1/64 (1/128 off of Stainless Steal Sickle) and Dragurns have Dragon Dung at 1/32 (1/64).

Great, just in time!

Snooze also works sometimes too. Anything you can do to make Tyrantosauruses not kill you.

Even plinking them to death. It can't believe it either.

"Well, duh! That's the idea! I wanna get that place up and running A.S.A.P., so that's another reason to get this trial out of the way."
"I can't imagine it would've been that difficult to keep the casino open even without an official decision on the new owner."
"Yeah! Good point! Ev'ryone knows Goldin's snuffed it now, so wot's the point in keepin' the place closed?"
"You don't get it. The casino has to have an owner. We can't open it up until that's decided. That's just the way it is."
"Cor, you're a stubborn one, ain't ya..."

"Maybe he's going to tell her that's when the race really begins, and they'll sprint for the finish line."

Hmm. Yes. Good.

I mean I can't be coy about what it's good for anymore, but I can still marvel at the utility of poop, no?

Sometimes you get lucky and Thwack ends an entire encounter.

If Angelo's gotten a lot of Staff, like you're going for Falcon Slash + Oomph, he'd easily have Kathwack at this point, and casting that wildly at dragons would work, and you'd avoid group oddities and just get all of them. It's hard on MP, but that's what the Happy Hat is for, no?

Um.

No.

Welcome to the Dragon Graveyard. It's also your graveyard.

I have two Cherion's Bows, and dammit I'm not afraid to use them! This barely outpaces one blazing breath, and there's five fuckin' dragons ready to use it!

Why hello again!

Oh my god it's decided to stay!! Yangus, you know what to do!!
