In Hold'em Manager, is there a specific Hand Viewer clipboard output that is the same as what's required for PITR? Accounting for the ? Edit: Also, I want to post a SNG hand, but that thread died. Should I put it in the NLHE thread?

I don't want to waste anyone's time since I'm sure you've been over it before, so I'll be quick: Used to play lots of B&M NL Cash back in the day and farm Stars/Party during the boom, haven't played cards since then, looking to get back on a site to play the same table with the girl I've been seeing. We're not colluding, she just wants to see how poker works while at a non-intimidating venue. What is the softest decent population low-limit NL online game for Americans, and how do I go about getting us both on there? I don't think us having the same IP will matter since we'll be on separate networks during this. Thanks so much for bearing with me.

Why do you need to play on the same table with her? What do you mean you'll have the same IP but on separate networks? It was impossible to play on the same table with two accounts from the same IP address using full tilt/stars IIRC. Not sure about other sites, but cake and merge skins are the best right now.

Blinky2099 posted:Why do you need to play on the same table with her? Sorry, I was trying to say the issue of 'two clients from the same network at the same table' thing wouldn't be a problem since we wouldn't be in the same place while we're playing. The 'same table' thing is that I'd like to be able to join the same public tables so we could play against each other, like you would when you and your friends walk up to a table in a brick and mortar game. I'll check out Cake.

Ah okay. I misinterpreted. That shouldn't be an issue then.

A friend of mine asked me if I'd heard about Lock Poker because "they take US deposits and I personally talked to a Lock Pro player () and he said they definitely pay out" Which to me reads as: "I have no actual reason to believe they will pay out, but..." From what I can tell it's just a skin on the Merge Network. Is that right?

Yes, it's just a Merge skin.

What's a decent iPhone app to practice on? Something that if I'm stuck in line or something I can whip out and play for a bit?

As an American looking to get into online poker-what are the best and most reputable sites out there right now (if any) that still allow American players? And how easy is it in the post-black friday world to make deposits and withdrawals into and from these sites?

- Revolution Network(I'd recommend Cake myself). - Merge Network(I'd recommend Carbon). - True Poker Network(Or Yatahay Network - w/e it is called). True Poker there. We offer rakeback for all 3 at http://www.rakebackresource.com/ although theres a bit of a fuckup on there at the moment and Carbon isn't listed I'll sort that in morning.

Scotsman posted:- Revolution Network(I'd recommend Cake myself). I thought you couldn't get Rakeback at carbon anymore? I signed up through your sight for carbon rackback. I probably going to try and use the transfer thread to get some cash on cake this weekend but Carbon looks like it might be easier to get money on Carbon. I just want to confirm before I put money on carbon.

Scotsman posted:- Revolution Network(I'd recommend Cake myself). I (in America) just tried to sign-up at Cake and for some reason they wouldn't accept my log-in, despite me using PasswordSafe so my big fat fingers wouldn't screw it up. Now I'm locked out. Not too concerned about rakeback, I just want to play poker again. Edit to add: just tried a second e-mail address and log-in, still can't get in. Is Florida banned from Cake or something? 2nd Edit to add: I'm having the same bullshit problem at Carbon, where I'm entering in the verification code from the e-mail they sent me multiple times and they're not accepting it. 3rd edit to add: I am an idiot and attempted to use a 16-character password when the maximum at Cake was 12. Please take my moneys at Cake Poker if I am ever intelligent enough to get them on the site. skaboomizzy fucked around with this message at 08:45 on Jul 6, 2012 |

I just got into this forum and now it's about to close. But before it closes I figured I would ask, how exactly do I find poker in my area? It's hard to sift through the mountains of irrelevant results that show up on google and I don't quite know how to phrase "poker tournaments in my area" since I'm stuck in Alabama. I assume I will have to drive to Florida or Mississippi to play the occasional tournament, but I don't know where to look. Hope I can get some help before September 3rd. edit: I finally had some luck searching around, but I guess I'll leave this post here to boost traffic White Kid Polo fucked around with this message at 15:52 on Aug 30, 2012 |

This forum pretty much paid off my college debt and helped pay for my wedding through tourney cashes, so I'm sad to see it go. I had no idea the forum was in danger or anything, but it seems like the mods got something up their rear end about it, and as usual it seems like that something was connected to FYAD. Such a shame

edit: My questions were answered in the other thread. I really hate that I went ~2 years where owning a computer wasn't an option for me. When I was finally able to buy a computer and fund a good-sized bankroll, I found out that online poker in the US was "killed" ~1-2 weeks earlier. Why did I have to date a crackhead for 3 years?!? I could have been something! Thank you Scotsman and countless other regulars in here for all the help, helpful information, etc, you've provided me and others over the years. elpintogrande posted:If you want we can just close it right now. We wanted to give you folks the opportunity to complete whatever transactions you were doing to fund your gambling. Wow that would be an extremely lovely thing to do just because other people voiced their complaints, regardless of how well or poorly they voiced them. What the gently caress kind of threat is this??? I have a lot of respect for the mods here I am familiar with, such as Gendo, and I can't imagine him or the others posting something so childish. If, oh I dunno, no one's money was involved, then maybe I could get behind what you were saying. another edit: Winson_Paine posted:Any posts about poker in TG will not be trolled, or if they are, I will probate or ban the offenders. I have no particular stake (get it?) in poker, but people play Magic the Gathering and other things in there and discuss tournaments and no one is OMG YOU ARE NERDS or whatever it is you fear will happen. I do appreciate the gesture, but PITR would never have been the great resource and community that it was if it were visible to people without an SA account. Had it been, I would have been an above-average poster rather than a lovely poster. Mercaptopropyl fucked around with this message at 05:20 on Aug 31, 2012 |
