Aphex Twin's SAW Volume II is 30 years old today. This album has been hugely influential on my own music. Hell, one of the first songs I ever made is basically me doing my own Rhubarb-type tune.

My 12 year old son got into apex twin all by himself and it’s pretty cool. He likes figuring out what the various noises were sampled from originally. I introduced him to Burial and he was really digging that.

I've been a big fan of Gateway's ambient/dreampunk work, particularly the album Azure: https://dreamcatalogue.bandcamp.com/album/azure Anyway, the (relatively shorter) sequel "Cerulean" has just come out if you're into that sort of thing.
