It makes sense, actually, though it's probably something we'll never find out for sure. Probably too obscure to even be in the notes/encyclopedia. And it only works out if we assume that each door is individually locked and that she could have entered Finnland without passing through that gate they used at the docks in Carihien.

Mat used both doors. But--although I have trouble keeping my Finns straight--I'm pretty sure the door at Cairhein was the one she would have had to use to get a wish granted? Since Moiraine had already used the one that answers questions, and I think she used her wishing powers to deal with Lanfear? Or maybe Lanfear was allowed to enter again because her eventually returning to Finnland is part of the agreement she made (probably by accident)? It seems plausible that the Finns could have that kind of control over the arches, although I sort of suspect they don't, since the arches exist specifically to stop them from pulling this kind of shenanigans. All in all I don't think it's a credible theory even if you account for alternate methods of bargaining with the Finns. It would have been mentioned somewhere - interviews with Jordan, the Behind the wheel book - somewhere. I've never seen any trace of an implication, despite reading the series over a dozen times, nor have I seen a mention of it anywhere on the internet. Then you have the logical, in universe reasons - Someone in the Age of legends would have noticed if she was mysteriously more powerful than she used to be. I entirely understand the scepticism though, it as mentioned prior could be just because Lanfear is incredibly arrogant.
