Are there any plans for a Mac port? KF1 got ported after awhile but KF2 is only listed as a PC release on Steam.

I'd splash around in some blood for the cause but I wasn't selected for the beta.

I was a bit surprised to find out that the katana is basically a cheapo melee weapon, and not an endgame-ish weapon like in KF1. Now I'm even more curious about what kind of weapons the martial artist will use.

That is because now Zerker gets things like a sledgehammer that hits people with shotgun rounds :getin:

Jesus christ I actually got one. Granted it took several tries. God this series' fans are rabid

E. Now I get to start bitching and moaning about leaving the beta open longer rather than not having a key. Progress! :v:

Okay, I've been seeing something weird. When watching people face Hans, after he tosses his gas grenade and people run away, and then run back, I see the grenades go off and they are standing upright. I don't think people in the game itself see it and it doesn't affect them. Does anyone else see this happen?

Mindblast

I've had it happen where the gas did not clear on my end. It wasn't toxic or anything anymore but it remained around. It might just be a minor desync or something but it was very odd seeing people run through that poo poo and not take damage.

Managed to grab a key, and finally can look at the perk screen. And yes - Commando does say "weapon damage" (Support says "shotgun damage", which would include the Nailgun), which none of the other perks do. So it seems like Commando does passive extra damage with everything. How is it a bad perk again?

For anyone who has the quick reload skill for support. Does it change the animation for the boomstick other than make it speed up? Is it more DOOM 2 like? Tripwire, you got an fiddling animation of the guy breaking open the boomstick without the shells flying out but your can't make an animation where only one shell stays in. My immersion.

Nope, there's no extra fancy animation, you just shuffle in shells faster.

Noticed an odd audio bug that happened on the map Outpost. It was either a Siren or a nade but something triggered a high pitched hum and it never went away. All through the wave, Hans, Lobby and the whole next map (Biolab). It just kepts going.

When I was playing lvl 0 berzerker I parried with the shovel against a siren and then my shovel animation got stuck mid parry. Couldn't swing at anything or use the weapon until I switched away and back to it.

While I was playing medic on the Biolabs I lost my ability to quick heal for a while. Seemed to happen when I healed someone with a medi dart and then immediately healed myself.

No it'll be the same four we got now. They'll slowly add a perk at a time throughout early access as they complete balance changes for previously introduced perks until we have all perks, including the new ones

I didn't notice a memory leak when I was playing today. What I did see was a great game that'll be even better once we get more perks, weapons and a few bugs get fixed.

A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs.

I got to play a couple games. I really like the Paris level. The lighting is simply fantastic. Open roads with car lights and street lamps, neon signs... then indoors there are flares on the floor.

Can't wait to have all the perks :)

Beta's over but it was so worth it. Yeah ok this is a day one purchase. The core gameplay is just stupidly fun. I'm not sure from what perk level they expect you to go higher in dificulty but within 0-5 you can still get hairy situations on normal if you play with random pubbies. I think I dig medic and support the most. Support's shotties are meaty as hell and the medic has both rapidfire and a shotgun and that nade of theirs is chill. Maybe they're not as solid strong as the classes that specialise in one weapon type but the medic ones can all heal and seem to have their own heal dart pool. By the end I run around with all but one of the weapons, usually swapping the smg out for the assault rifle for the boss.

Scrakes and FP's feel odd. Maybe it's simply a matter of teams with good concentrated fire vs ones without, but it is almost like they have variable health.

I do kind of wish that the classes started off at a certain level of bonus rather than leveling into it, since basically you don't see any difference between them for a couple levels.

if it works the same as kf1, zed health is affected by both difficulty and number of players in the server. so variable health would be right

The Devs have been mentioning how for KF2 they don't plan on increasing health with the difficulty levels though, instead going for things like making the zeds more aggressive or unlocking new moves. However, I do not recall if this still applies to amount of players or not come to think of it.

Then again, I wasn't in the Beta so for all I know they went ahead and did make Zed and boss Health ramp up as you increase the difficulty anyways :v:

I've noticed with Scrakes and FPs in games with 3 or less players they're not nearly as aggressive in their attacks. They're more likely to slowly walk to you. With a full team they'll drive right into the group and go to town.

I do have to say one core flaw I have with the game: the maps are designed too small for HoE. This will be fixed with the map editor I guess, but enemies spawn behind you in almost every good camp spot on most maps, the only good spot I've found to beat HoE is outside that snow map behind those cars because it's a large enough area to move and no enemies spawn behind you, while concentrating fire on two spots or one during sc/fps.
