So I've been looking in to ways to lose a bit of weight and to learn a bit of self defense while I am at it, and my older brother recently took up boxing and has really been enjoying it, and I was wondering if anyone knew if that helps with weight loss, like I imagine it is similar to a mix of cardio and aerobics, am I right there? I'm obviously a little bit overweight, and I have very little upper body strength, so is there any exercises I should start doing regularly before I decide to take up boxing, just to work on my strength a bit, since right now I think my punches would be similar to a moth flying into your face. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give me.
