Some consoles (like N64) had games right there at launch so you could play right away. So for me Im an oldtimer who'll wait until the first game comes out before i dip into next-gen. There's Metal Gear, the free PSN games, Killzone for all non sports stuff so the PS4 has games and stuff. But apparently people really like the PS4 for sports games.

lego city undercover is genuinely fantastic. it has horrible load times but aside from that it's probably the funniest and coolest open world game out there
