You can't listen to the local Detroit sports radio station on any given day without hearing Fister get mentioned. We all miss him.

It's funny watching batters ask for time because of that. Dude gets the ball back from the catcher and is already in his windup it seems.

The guys playing behind him love it too.

Giants win on the backs of a powerhouse offense and George Kontos :psyduck:

Also Casilla has an ERA below 1.00 :stare:

Edit: Maybe a little quick on that.

Double Edit: Now it's double over.

Man it's a good thing your didn't PH for Nuno when you have a chance to do some damage, cause his pitching ability is really worth keeping in.

Desmond goes 5 for 5 by hitting right off the pitcher's back. Your pitching needs help when Ian Desmond goes 5 for 5.

E: and now Espinosa gets a triple. I realize this is Coors field, but is this really a closer?

I never understood the knuckle curve concept, even when Mike Mussina was doing it. The entire point and effectivity of a knuckleball is that it has no rotation. Introducing a curve-ball top spin completely nullifies the point.

My own understanding is that a knucklecurve is really just a curveball with a different grip. Some pitchers get better spin with a finger or two bent under.

I always thought it was basically a curveball but you typically apply the pressure with your middle finger and your pointer finger does nothing. Some guys throw it with their pointer completely off the ball but hitters might be able to see it. I don't know if they are actually applying pressure with their pointer or what.

I dunno, I never played baseball, just based on my loving around playing catch.
