i think I'll try and effort post to recall all the rules of that smash variant later if there's more interest I'll try and seriously bring it back and organize some tournaments that use it as a ruleset

Icarus Rising Mode: 1. Only Pit/Dark Pit/Palutena. 2. Only items from Kid Icarus. 3. Only stages that are canonically in the sky (like that Kid Icarus stage, Skyloft, etc). Additionally: Persons playing as Dark Pit receive ritual mocking upon any loss. Palutena is only allowed to use stripper taunt.

according to SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki that anyone can edit, you spawn with a pity smash if you respawn while 5 points behind the current leader. this means you only actually have to die once to get it. I have gotten it before while playing with a friend who is Very Good at smash bros. it was demeaning and humiliating and i hate it.

i think the smash ball is cool at first, but once you've seen all of the final smashes a few times, and the balance has been figured out (i.e. these 6 FSes are good, adn the rest are poo poo) then they should probably be turned off. if you are doing all items, then leave them on of course. also, to clarify, when i say "no recovery items", i mean no items that recover health , like the heart or whatever. i would also maybe include the super star. I don't mean items that aid in recovery, like the jetpack (are there even any others?) the foods are ok tho, that recover like 2%
