 I'm baaack! Fixed the car from the ditch excursion in Radium Rally, painted it, and entered the Pacific Forest Rally in Merrit, BC. My first National event! Started off with recce, and I had my fist rally flat... Yeah, during recce. Go figure.  I survived the night stages with some scares, but gained confidence in the car and notes quickly. The first pass of Stage 1 was in daylight, and the second pass at night. I was 20 seconds faster on the second pass! The second day started off excellent, I was picking up speed and putting myself into a very good position, sitting 2nd in Production 4wd. Up until the 4th stage of the day, where I went off a crest and stayed left instead of right, which launched me into a ditch and broke my right rear wheel & knuckle right at the trailing arm mount. D'oh. I drove like this for another 7 km which completley wrecked the right rear corner of the car and we DNF'd. lovely deal, but still a blast.  I didn't walk away with a trophy, but I'm totally mounting this on my wall. Another guy went off a cliff later that stage and rolled 8 times. Broke his neck, and had an engine fire after they got out. Pretty rough stage.
