What a fantastic reality we live in.
I am trying to create an interesting Google Earth presentation. When a placemark in a Google Earth presentation is clicked on, it can reveal a balloon with textual information along with a picture. I can add the text, but I can't figure out how to add the image. I have watched and read the Google Earth tutorials that are supposed to explain how to do this, but it assumes a level of knowledge that I don't have.

Step 3 in the tutorial is where they lose me...

"Click on the "Add image..." button, and copy and paste the following image URL (which references an online photo of a bristlecone pine tree) into the Image URL box. Then click OK.

http://earth.google.com/outreach/images/stories_adelia3.jpg "

Ok so this tells me how to add THIS image into an information balloon, but not how to add a picture of my choosing. I tried linking an image from Flickr with this address " https://www.flickr.com/photos/enriqueescalona/2844428731/in/photostream/ " but it doesn't work.

I tried googling how to turn my picture into a .jpg webpage like the example given in the Google Earth tutorial, but I have found nothing helpful in the results.

Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Thanks for your help.

I don't use Google Earth, but what I believe you need to do is directly link to the actual image, not the lovely flickr page. Finding direct links to images on flickr is made difficult on purpose, but here is the link to your example image: https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3117/2844428731_5bb896e844_z.jpg?zz=1

Your best bet is going to be hosting the images on something that is not a total pain in the rear end, such as imgur.

Thanks a lot! Imgur works really well for what I want to do!
