It seems like a long, long time ago there was a thread like this. So, why not start a new one? What's some of the most beautiful music you've heard? Here's some stuff from me... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjzVbXeD_8E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkP6Tf79UrM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds_O25Dxk94 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPBLTlLTFHA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VAkOhXIsI0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEUlmFch6KI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4tkiGvV_ek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8gJgOCc1EE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZY5hUR1joE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HA7Y6NrZ24c And the REAL version of Videotape... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQTsJG3CVnE

I have a feeling the Post Rock thread is going to leak into this thread a whole bunch. Having said that, my two "most beautiful" songs are indeed Post Rock: Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand in Mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzIK5FaC38w MONO - Legend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usHC-O1BPCM (it helps that the Legend video is of really beautiful scenes from Iceland)

A lot of Philip Glass could go here but the one that really stands out for me is Building, from Einstein on the Beach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faqB17OCBnA There's just something about it, the gliding, additive underscoring plus the jazz solo and the ethereal chorus (a combination heard earlier in the even more minimal Music in 12 Parts), it's three things that shouldn't work together but really do, at least for me. I could listen to this for ages, I just think it's really gorgeous in a way th wait sorry no i mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLoqxvd6UJY yeah this final answer
