This is just a serial cheater thing, not a sociopath thing. It can be really weird to watch it happening; suddenly your friend who's living with their SO is referring to them as a "roommate" with a perfectly straight face and it's like "oh, ok, I guess we're all just pretending you're single for the night." I'm sure it's pathological somehow, but unfortunately not unique to sociopaths.
