if it's disconnected while the computer is starting up, it doesn't matter if you reconnect it after you're in the OS, because the motherboard needs to initialize the PS/2 port for it to work, it's not plug and play like USB funny thing about using a PS/2 keyboard

I have a unicomp usb keyboard and sometimes if poo poo fucks up it wont recognize I need to unplug it and plug it back in again very nostalgic
