"What goes around, comes around" -Old proverb "Even should an uprising succeed and a new regime be installed, another rebel will inevitably arise... Do you intend to become the cause of a never-ending war of succession?" -Isabeau, Shin Megami Tensei IV (Chaos route) Welcome to the PYF revolution thread, the thread for posting about your favorite revolutions, uprisings, and mutinies. Going to have to start things off with the Irish 1916 Easter Rising - while it was ultimately unsuccessful (ending in surrender), the execution and martyrdom of the prominent leaders of the rising led to a vast change in public opinion against the British, which was a main factor in Ireland gaining its independence as a state in 1922. Plus, considering it was a force of 1250 Irish fighting against over 16000 British [Source: Wikipedia] I think they did pretty well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_Rising
