Every time I switch from my contacts to glasses back and forth (if I've been only wearing one for a prolonged period) I get a similar effect. The lens IS bending light. Your brain should get used to it within a couple of weeks. Okay thanks, that's reassuring. It's just a bit scary when you put on these glasses and ten days later things are still wobbly. I'll see if I get used to it. In the meantime I'm just going to avoid drawing architecture.

I finally finished my still life. It had started raining about fifteen minutes in so did a lot of this from imagination, or by using a crummy pic and other flowers as references. The shading was the hardest part and now that I look at it, I think I should have darkened the two big flowers, or at least the top one. I'm happy with it otherwise. And happy I'm done. On to new flowers!

I love this one, the atmosphere really makss it. Re: astigmatism I have the same problem, when I change glasses my eyes take a week or so to adjust. Definitely normal, total pain in the butt.

Hey this has been in the back of my mind, but the past few weeks have been too stressful and demanding to shut out and art. In the past three weeks I've moved halfway across America and helped a goon set up this website. The last week of August will take me away from my computer, so I am pretty sure I will miss this one. I have some ideas about robot design that I'd like to put down, and they're related to a very important thing, so I'll do them as soon as I can. But they'll have to go in another thread.

My Wacom is too flaky to use, so doing pencil stuff at home. I later ruined both of these with marker.

After 10 years of stuffing around and being way too lazy with art I have finally found some motivation to be productive. Been trying to draw or paint every day and have gone close to doing that for the last week and a bit. This one is based on a rough sketch I did a few days ago, picked up a canvas board today and smashed this out in around 6 or 7 hours. Still getting the hang of acrylics but learning every time I use them. (Sorry for the giant image I am posting from my phone)
