this is a thread for all of us who peaked long ago and can't seem to get it back. IRC pickups? gotfrag? thinking you were hot poo poo because you played CAL-IM? clans and clubs? roster riding teams you could never start for? ventrilo? it's all here, along with the often sad realization that it's gone forever. my background is mostly day of defeat (1.3) with a little bit of cs (1.6), along with CoD1/vCoD my main memory is the time my DoD team went to CPL, but i couldn't go because my mom wasn't too cool with the idea of sending her kid across the country to play video games with people he'd never met.  it'd be cool to get some community 10mans for CS/12mans for DoD going, i could definitely host a server for either if there was any interest

I said come in! posted:Quake 2 and Unreal Tournament. i played quake 3 CPMA a bit for fun in like 2007/2008, and the only real way to figure out which servers are active nowadays (and not full of bots/hosted on some douchebag's DSL line) is by actually going to quakenet and joining the CPMA channels you might try this though, might work better

also, before gaming peripherals were a big thing this was the sickest mouse on the market no frills, 125Hz polling rate, 450dpi
