I remember when my dad would come in after everyone had gone to bed. He'd sit on the edge of my bed and say things like "Don't tell your mum about this, this is just special time for dads and sons, she wouldn't understand." Then he'd lie down next to me and shut the lamp off and teach me about the solar system using these cool glow in the dark stickers he put on my ceiling.

I had to go into the bank last weekend (because apparently the drive through isn't open on the weekends?  ) and noticed that they had a big jar of dog biscuits next to the window. That was a really random flashback to my childhood, when banks would give us a dog biscuit if we had our dalmatian with us, I had no idea they still did that.

Watching DuckTales on TV dubbed in Swedish because Norway hadn't invented their own dubbing technology yet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFpQ_J4GScA Although I should be thankful that Norway mostly subtitled instead of dubbing stuff back then, I'm sure it did wonders in teaching all the kids English.

The crank arm would scrape against the plastic frame with each revolution.
