Anyone who's played Maiden of Black Water and the other Fatal Frames, is it a hiccup in the series? I liked the combat and stuff but the story was lame i haven't played the latest fatal frame but every single game is fairly challenging in a lot of different ways. However, in fatal frame 1 a lot of the difficulty in dealing with ghost comes from dealing with whatever gimmick the ghost presents. It ranges from pretty clever and scary like Blinded or really really frustrating in the case of the last boss. But 2 and 3 start out throwing multiple ghosts in the first encounter. I haven't seen a lot of Black Water but you may like the plot of the others more, they're pretty straight forward and 2 has a Silent Hill vibe to it. Two is my favorite of the the three I've played but I just barely like it more than 1. FF3 is a fine game too but don't go for it first.
