They Might Be posted:I like where you're going with this. My concern is that it'll be really tough to get an apple flavor that can punch through all the dark bitter roasted flavors of a porter. Maybe a Salted Caramel Porter, or Toffee? I'd drink the poo poo outta that

When I think of a label I think about the kind of stuff dads draw and write. For mine it was "all capitol letters on graph paper" |

Here's the update I posted about DB back in the chat thread! They Might Be posted:The beer came out so delicious. I have a beautiful picture of it actually. They Might Be posted:The goofy copy I wrote about it: This recipe is the answer to a question we asked ourselves, "Is it possible to make a beer that tastes like dunking a honey-glazed doughnut into coffee?" Heavy additions of specialty and crystal malts give this English porter a deep and complex taste with a restrained roasted character and bitterness. While we call it Dad Breakfast, it can be enjoyed anytime of the day, and not just by dads!

Beer that can fill the emptiness inside me |

Farecoal posted:Beer that can fill the emptiness inside me Beer 2 cloves garlic 1 medium yellow onion 3 ribs celery ½ lb (3-4) carrots 1 large (3/4 lb.) chicken breast 1 whole bay leaf 1 tsp dried basil 1 tsp dried thyme freshly cracked pepper 4 cups water Hops 1½ cups all-purpose flour 1½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt ½ Tbsp dried parsley 6 Tbsp cold butter ¾ tsp sugar ⅔ cup milk Bring the beer to a boil and simmer for 60 minutes. Remove the chicken, shred, and return to the pot. Add 1-2tsp salt to taste. Cut the dry hop ingredients together in a bowl and add in chunks of cold butter with your hands. Once the consistency resembles damp sand add the milk and stir. Drop the hops in by the heaping spoonful and continue to simmer for 20 minutes. They should look expanded and moist on the outside, but trust that the insides will fill your interior emptiness with light flaky goodness. Serve hot.
