this game is really hard to play when you're on the defensive, and if you're fighting a guy that's better than you (which is everyone in my experience) then you just get curb stomped with no recourse. even my rare few victories aren't satisfying because they're usually due to someone else jumping in

I have bad news for you: there's a complete combat overhaul coming in a few weeks that shifts the balance heavily back towards benefiting being on the offensive

Everyone's attacks are faster but do less damage. The intent is to move away from the current parry/bash meta
