Full disclosure: I'm a southern California native, so the "ubiquity" referenced in the Subject line may vary from one global location to another.

There's a song I frequently hear when I'm in old-fashioned greasy-spoon style burger joints. For those in southern California, I'm talking about places like The Hat, Ruby's, Lucky Boy, Arry's, and others. There are no vocals to this song, only a simple drum beat, a backing bass riff (dum dum BA-da-dum dum) with an organ? solo. This song could go as far back as the late 50s in origin, but it sounds like upbeat blues?

A link or the name of the song would work well here.

I actually have that song on a 1962 mix cd I made but I would've had no idea what you meant
