Car grunts. "Not the best time for the debate, I think. But I can promise you this. The Empire doesn't have the same sort of scruples you do, about lying or killing." He sighs. "Look, just let me do the talking, should it come to that, ok?"

Well, fuck. Really?

Keraun

The Jedi sighs as he enters the room, running the pads of his clawed fingers over the damaged wall. So much pain could be felt here; Keraun was a Trandoshan, a hunter at very core of his being, and he had felt this sort of pain and confusion before. It was part of what had made him leave his clan to find out what he was. He shakes his head; now wasn't the time for this sort of reminiscing.

Keraun steps into the center of the room and sits down, folding his legs under him and resting his hands on his knees, his body facing the corner where he can see and hear the rain. He closes his eyes, taking a slow, deep breath and releasing it just as slowly. "Let the Force flow over you. Let it encompass you, swirl about your physical form, and draw your senses into its currents. Be at peace. Be one with the Force. Let it be one with you."

He lets his mind slip free of his body, taking in the emotions and feelings of the room. A bomb had gone off here. But why? What of the people who had felt the fear and the confusion that had been here, and JUST here? He pushes away the feelings from the rest of the building, focusing solely on the room he is in.

Dunno how to handle this but I assume a light side point can be spent here to learn critical poo poo.

Lohkruda

Lohkruda narrows his eyes and scans the thugs, trying to look tough and suspicious. After a few seconds, he shrugs and relaxes.

"Alright, yeah, that could work. I wanted to find Zhura, really, but I'll settle for her credits. What's the plan?"

The ship would be nice for the Rebellion to have, and if a good opportunity came around, he wouldn't hesitate to steal it out from under these idiots' noses... but at the same time, they were just here for Zhura. Besides, if these guys were on the level (at least as far as criminals can be considered honest), they might make for handy contacts in the future.

Rolling Streetwise to try to get a read on whether or not these guys are planning on screwing me over, spending a LSP to upgrade my check.

Streetwise (LSP, Average): 1eP 1 success, 1 advantage 2eA 2 successes, 1 advantage 2eD 1 failure, 2 threat, oops, that should've been + signs, not semicolons. Doesn't really matter, that's a basic 2 successes.

Keraun: Abandoned Apartment

As Keraun falls deeper and deeper into his meditation, the outside world begins to fade away bit by bit, until he can no longer hear the rainstorm, only the water dripping from what remains of the room's furniture. A new feeling, aside from the fear and confusion prevalent throughout the building, begins to shape. Betrayal. With a sudden realization, the jedi opens his eyes and takes a closer look at the wall he ran his claw over earlier. Almost completely disguised by the severe fire damage is the faint remains of blaster scarring. The people in this room died before the bomb went off, and whoever killed them was someone they trusted.

The opposite corner of the room from where the bomb went off is less damaged, so it might be worth it to search for any other clues.

Thom & Jaqqu: Outside Imperial Garrison

Jaqqu spins around, and his absurd amount of equipment almost manages to spin him right around again before he steadies himself. The Rodian moves to greet his one-time partner, but pauses awkwardly before pulling out a datapad and looking through it for a few seconds. Finally he jerks his head up and resumes his greeting. "Thom, that was it! It's been a while, didn't think you were still taking jobs." After a bit of catching up, the question of how to get in is raised. "I actually just came up with a plan before you got here, but I needed someone else's help. Don't look directly at him, but there's another hunter over there named Elgun Wei." Jaqqu subtly points towards a heavily armored hunter standing a few feet away from the rest of the group waiting to get in. Holding up a small datapad (a different model from the one he was using earlier), Jaqqu speaks in a hushed tone. "All you have to do is place this on his person, then I'll stun him and tell the gatekeeper we're turning in a bounty we were hired to track down a while ago. The datapad will frame him for working with the rebellion on the sly. With a little fast-talking, not only will we get inside, but we can get paid for a bounty the Empire never actually placed. Don't worry about the other hunters helping Elgun out, either. He's the only one here from the Slaver's Guild, so he doesn't have any friends watching his back. Also, he's a stuck-up snob and has a habit of insulting other bounty hunters of being worthless." With his tone of voice, it's obvious Jaqqu was one of those hunters Elgun insulted. Also obvious is the reason why the Rodian doesn't tend to keep partners for very long: Jaqqu makes bad plans.

Of course, the important question is, do you have a better plan?

Anang & Caer: Administration Building

As the two of you get closer to the security station, the crowds in the hallways begin to thin, until it's just the two of you and an outdated security droid hovering in front of you. "This area is restricted. If you are lost, I can call for someone to escort you to where you need to go. A map of the building is also located at the front desk for your convenience." The voice module sounds like it belongs to a protocol droid instead of a security model, probably to avoid intimidating lost visitors, but the hovering droid is still armed. Ignoring its warning and pushing past it won't end well. It might be possible to trick it, but security droids are notoriously stubborn. However, this particular model was recalled long ago when it was discovered its "easier maintenance" features could be abused to reprogram it on the fly, but that would require being able to get behind the droid somehow.

Lohkruda: Outside Private Dock

The thugs are greedy, but are unlikely to try to shoot you in the back unless you try to betray them first. More likely they'll try to short you on the credits from selling the cargo. As for whether or not it being possible to establish a working relationship between them and the rebellion, it's hard to say right now. Most common criminals have no love for the Empire, but these four don't seem interested in fighting back either.

The plan to steal the ship is simple: use the Arrow-23 to rush in without warning, then use the confusion to disable the tractor beam and pile into the ship before anyone at the dock can do anything. If all goes well no shots need to be fired, but any questions you have about who owns the dock or what kind of defenses they have in place is only met with a shrug. The terminal used to operate the tractor beam will be in the dock's control room, so you and your newfound partners will need to split into two groups. One team will make their way to the control room while the other stays with the Arrow-23 and makes sure the path to the ship is clear. Being part of the control room team means you might be able to look for details about who owns the dock, but that would mean placing your speeder in the care of a couple of thugs temporarily.

Once you decide which team to be part of, there's only one thing left to do: make an entrance the way only a former pod-racer can.

Keraun: if you want to search the room, it's average difficulty, with two boost dice from your temporarily boosted senses. However, I's also going to spend a dark side point to upgrade it once, so it will be 1 challenge die, 1 difficulty die, and two boost dice.

Thom: If you go with Jaqqu's plan, it's an average check to plant the datapad with either stealth or skullduggery, with two boost dice due to the rain and Elgun ignoring everyone else. [i]f you have your own plan, Jaqqu can provide you with anything you can picture a bounty hunter having, plus some equipment he might have "just in case".

Anang & Caer: Trying to bluff past the droid will be a had check, but if you can distract it somehow, it's possible to slice it with computers at average difficulty, plus one boost die for it being horribly outdated.

Lohkruda: Hard piloting(planetary) check to make an entrance however you see fit. The result will determine how much confusion you cause and whether or not anyone will be in a position to shoot at you.

Destiny Pool is at 2 Light, 5 Dark (assuming Keraun searches the room, otherwise it'll be at 1 Light, 6 Dark)

I'm a hot bitch angel named Panty. And no matter what anyone says,
I DO WHAT I FUCKING WANT!
Anang

Anang didn't know what good talking to the droid would do, but she did know that Caer was skilled enough to rewire just about anything that could be rewired. He would likely be shot full of holes if he tried to do it before the droid was distracted, so Anang decided that she would dance the dance of her people to distract it. It was an elegant, emotional affair, and for high-ranking selonians well versed in such things, each precise movement detailed part of the history of the West End Den. Anang didn't know the latest version, but to see such a time-honored and emotional dance was an honor. She wasn't distracting the droid so it could be murdered or rewired... she was showing it a part of the true beauty of Selonian culture. What could be more honest and authentic than the history of her people, told in dance form? What could be more beautiful? What could be more poetic?

Well... lots of things. What was elegant and beautiful to a Selonian was not always so to other races. Still, the droid's focus was thoroughly on her, which was what she wanted in the first place.

Thom Xareec

Oh boy, another one of those missions. Jaqqu's insistence on taking the route with the highest ration of reward and fast completion time has led him to another classic tactic; holding onto evidence to use as credentials, blackmail, or a means to implicate others in the future. Now, this plan was probably very dumb, especially if the data was actually taken from a Rebel operative, which would mean a conflict of interest if any of the data wasn't meant to enter the Empire's hands. On the other hand, however, it's just as likely that this is fabricated data, and ultimately, procuring this data isn't his mission; finding their missing operative is, and getting inside is exactly how they'd do that. Plus, if he's as prepared as he always is, he might already know where they are and would be willing to accept payment from Watercrest in exchange for his assistance and silence, which as he recalls is usually pretty easy to do if you bribe him before he asks for a bribe and sets his own price.

"Yeah, sure sure, sounds good. I'll be back before you know it."

Spending a light side point to upgrade it.

Skullduggery!: 2eP 3 successes 2eA 0 successes, 3 advantage 2eB 0 successes 2eD 1 failure, 3 threat

That's two successes and nothing else.

Thom takes the datapad and does his best "cool" walk forward, and leaning his shoulder towards but not quite touching his target as he covertly slips the item into a pocket, one that is just loose enough to not arouse immediate suspicion, but also short enough for the item to stick out.

Pillbug
Lohkruda

Lohkruda grips the wheel tighter and nods at the thugs. He'd like to know who owned the place, but it didn't matter. He needed to get at the inside of that ship no matter what, and he wasn't trusting these idiots not to crash the Arrow.

"Nobody touches this speeder but me. I've got everything adjusted for Dugs anyway, I don't want to have to change them back after you use them, yeah? So go ahead, go for the control room. I'll give them something to think about, heh heh. You're about to witness the kind of stunt that only a podracing master can accomplish."

Step 1: Get as high above the building as the Arrow-23 can hover.

Step 2: Pull up the mixtape, open the windows, crank the volume.

Step 3: Hit the radio, cut the primary thrust, and plummet straight down at that skylight, twisting the throttle and feathering the thrusters to throw her into a tumble.

The spinning speeder crashes down through the ceiling in a hail of shattered glass, blasting Now THAT'S What I Call Wookie Music! Volume 23, at maximum volume. Lohkruda pulls out of the dive inches from the floor and immediately starts weaving around wildly, crashing through as many fragile objects as he can while laughing hysterically and firing a blaster pistol out of the window at nothing in particular. If that didn't get their attention, nothing would.

Piloting (Planetary), Hard: 2 successes

Well, fuck. Really?

Keraun

Keraun moves through the room with his eyes closed, letting the Force guide him and give him vision beyond sight. He gently touches the wall where the blaster marks are, frowning deeply; he sensed betrayal here. The Trandoshan opens his eyes, looking around the room in contemplative silence. This was an inside job; the bomb had to have been a cover for what went on here.

He crouches down in the debris on the far corner of the room, gently sifting through it, and when he finds what he's looking for, he rests back on his haunches, his hands on his knees. There was no way anyone else had actually investigated this crime scene; anyone who was actually interested in solving this explosion would've found this easily. Keraun picks up the communicator, holding it with the tips of his claws; it was a white cylinder, with black ribbing and a mesh top, the iconic Stormtrooper comm-link.

"I've got a bad feeling about this.." Keraun startles himself slightly with his own voice, having become so accustomed to the silence enhanced by the rain. He continues to dig, hoping to find something else in the rubble to give him some clue as to what was going on.

I'm gonna use the advantage to say I found a major clue that the Empire was on to the cell here, and I hope something good can come of this Triumph. Also spent a light side point to upgrade my check.
