"Game Over Man, game over" was the crash sound I used in Windows 95/98 -- you can imagine just how often that came up. RIP - he was always amazing in whatever movie.

Apparently he's in the upcoming The Circle, which is great, because it would have been terrible if something like Term Life was the last thing he would have been credited with.

Well gently caress. He was one of those actors who, when you look at their iMDB page it doesn't look all that stellar. But he seemed to have such a huge presence in the movies I watched growing up. Aliens, True Lies, Twister, Apollo 13, Titanic, Tombstone. Hell he had a fun bit roll in Edge of Tomorrow and I've seen that movie at least 5 times at this point. My parents were also huge fans of Big Love so I watched him in that. Game over Bill Paxton, Game over..

How on earth can you rattle off that string of movies and claim that his IMDB page doesn't look all that stellar?

Yeah, I'd contend it is quite stellar. I can't think of many actors for whom I recall a dozen amazing scenes from a dozen films where he totally brings it.

I mean, I guess what I mean is Bill Paxton isn't a 4 time academy award nominated actor but, due to his cultural impact, he sure feels like it. Also, aside from Twister, it's not like he stared in any of those movies. It's a dumb argument I admit but it's what I was thinking.

He had a fun, if small part in Streets of Fire.

Bill Paxton owns, might be the best of the big movie supporting guys of the 80s-90s.

I was legit saddened to hear of his passing. Dude was always a treat to see in whatever role, and it's a crime that he didn't get more recognition for Frailty, which is an awesome loving movie. Also how could you not include a clip from Edge of Tomorrow? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dploYgpWO-A Paxton reminded me of every drill sergeant I ever had, dude was a highlight of the movie in addition to the Tom Cruise death engine and Emily Blunt with her helicopter sword.
