It rocks by just the tiniest teeniest amount. What a massive effect its had as well, this could rumble on.

I don't see it. Watching the edges of the black ball, they never budge. The ref got it right.

If you look at the left hand edge in particular there's the tiniest hint of movement. I do admit I'm in a minority of one though. John Parrott suggested it might be a trick of the lighting.

Selby definitely hit the black ball. I want big John to win, but I'm convinced that was a touch.

I think with all the replays and it still being inconclusive means it's right the original decision stood. As Jan had the best view of it real time.

Selby doesn't seem to care as he calmly knocks in a phenomenal 131 next frame anyway.

Yeah when he made that decision I was thinking the worst thing would be for the replays to show a clear touch (that was before it turned out he could have overruled himself).

Proudly supporting vanilla legends 1994-2014

It has to be over now. Everything's in open play and Selby is leading. Great match from them both.

Light Along the Inverse Curve.
Nice to see the BBC still hasn't updated it's coverage. Same old video packages such as Taylor '86, Hurricane Higgins crying, Jimmy White bottling it and the usual "isn't Sheffield great sequence".

I guess this has to be considered the Selby era now, really impressive stuff.

Since I've got nothing better to do, I've taken this video (because it's the highest quality one I could find) and done a spot of CSI: Sheffield with it. Here's a webm link, showing the original, a zoom, and a zoom with boosted audio - there's an audible click there, but I think it's unrelated, which confuses things more! Still appears to move though, and I'm doubling down on that.

Anyway, here's the final in full:
