my timeline is: weird pixel winamp visualizations -> milkdrop -> wmp (and similar corporate trash) with worthtless clones of milkdrop -> nothing for some reason?! actually unclear why it sort of went away, spotify should have a library of those things

you can use milkdrop with foobar2k with shpeck nothing for the various streaming services out there, which kinda sucks but in all honesty a lot of the visualizations were pretty crap at actually responding to the music in any way
