i used to use AMOS on the amiga programming languages where you dont have to boilerplate and initialise screens etc are so good for kids etc when you can draw lines and circles on the screen almost immediately, you get instant feedback on your cool poo poo.you can do more and more until you exhaust the possibibilities but by that time you're understanding why you need to initialise screens and etc etc etc

basic causes brain damage seriously it took me two years to unlearn it and another year to wrap my head around object oriented programming after learning BASIC on a vtech pre-computer 1000 and ti calculator basic i've dug my ti-83 plus out of storage because I'm taking a math class and I'm opting to try to compile C using z88dk instead of trying to find the bits of ti calculator basic out of my brain again. it doesn't even have GOSUB, but you can call another program instead also I'm calling it ti calculator basic because true ti-basic belongs to the TI-99 series

i can remember the moment when I was reading about c# that I "got" object orientated programming. but only coz I "worked it out", not because it was explained well lol just jumped back on ue4 after years last night. love that drag and drop node based object orientated  legit I love it so much. does everything for ya. if it had multi dimensional arrays it would be perfect
