first season was a rad show about real robots beating ridiculously overpowered super robots, to use the srw terms. second season was dull and pointless.

Even the first season of AZ was terrible. Completely nonsensical background for a supposedly "serious" show, and Inaho was such a garbage character in virtually every single conceivable way it's not even funny. The fights were pretty looked nice, I guess, but outside the looks were again complete poo poo. And, "pretty fights," is something that can be said for any of those shows. As for VVV... well, S1 has some glimmer of promise or interesting concepts, but S2 was complete and utter trash. Especial mention goes to the brief flash forward (Ep 7 or so?) to the future that actually looks like it might portend something - and then is never touched on again.
