When I play fighters I just accept that every once in a while I am going to get splattered by a heavy, but I will have shot down a poo poo load of his team before he does it.

If you want to be able to actually move around the map go for the IL-10, if you want really big guns with superior engagement range go for the IL-8. e: personally i'd pick the IL-10 but i can't stand not going as fast as possible all the time

The Mk 1A has cannons and you want it.) and another one of my favorite planes

I've seen some videos praising it. Hard to hit, incredibly fast, rapid climbing, guns that take a while to overheat. I'm still not paying $70 for it.

I tried logging in today and saw all the changes to equipment and that you needed to complete missions and get special loot boxes to get some new currency to spend to buy said equipment and I just can't be bothered.

The parts also come from winning battles and is just need to get parts to upgrade equipment. The basic kit sill costs credits as I understand it. I hadn't stockpiled boxes but had stockpiled credits. WoWP did a crap job of explaining it all to the point of omitting explanations from the announcements with the explanations. Edit: Existing equipment was demounted and put back into inventory. Edit 2: Equipment states the penalties now while upgrades increase the bonuses and penalties. E.g., do I increase maneuverability by becoming a glass cannon, or become less maneuverable to better protect the engines that catch fire all the time.
