 I noticed there wasn't an Extra Life thread on the forum, so I thought I'd put one together real quick. What is Extra Life? "Extra Life unites thousands of players around the world in a 24-hour fundraising and gaming marathon to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $30 million for sick and injured kids." When is Extra Life The official day of participation for streaming is Saturday, November 4th. However, I (and a lot of folks) do our playing whenever we can and often in much smaller chunks. As long as you get your game in before the end of year, you're golden. How can I help? Guess I'll kick things off by putting my money where my mouth is. I can't speak for the rest of you, but I'm helping my local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Children's National, because I know what it's like to be in a waiting room at 3 AM with a terrifyingly sick infant. I know what it's like to see that thermometer readout hit 105 and be stricken by a fear more real, more tangible than anything you've ever felt in your whole life. This is my second year playing in Extra Life, and I've been a supporter of the cause going back at least two more before that. Because how could I not? This Sunday night, November 5th, I'll be playing games with my sister starting at 7pm ET to hopefully raise a little money for the hospital that even now fields my panicky dad calls whenever my son has a sniffle.
