so that i can actually slide it into my tool-less case? i bought a second HD and this case i have doesnt have any more brackets (which is what i would call them) but no matter what i search for nothing seems to pop up with what i want on amazon or whatever? will also accept alternative mounting ideas

They are called 'hard drive rails' OP. I love you and I hope this helps. My pro internet tip for the day is to operate a lil closer to that lowest common denominator (Sad!) I typed in 'those hdd mounting tabs' and there they were, trying to be all precise and correct just obfuscated things

Using those caddys is one of my least favorite parts about building a new computer. The screws for them are so tiny and hard to line up. Thats what she said eh.
