I knew at least 2 people who bought the Fight Club soundtrack because they wanted to listen to "Goin' Out West" but instead they just got 2 hours worth of mad acid-house.

I've heard the second one credited to W.C. Fields, and it might not even be his

I'm accidentally a suicide bomber!

Also, let's name all the Tom waits acting roles:

Basically every Jim Jarmusch movie

My personal favorite being his scene with Iggy Pop in Coffee & Cigarettes. His role in Down by Law is also v. good.

He was also drat good on the NASA track with Kool Keith

One I don't see mentioned often is his role in Book of Eli, which I was unaware of going into and was pleasantly surprised by.

Also, Wristcutters: A Love Story was a good one

edit: legitimately forgot my avatar was Tom Waits

These two songs are effectively "Primus feat. Tom Waits" (or vice-versa).

Also the first one has the saxman from the Bojack theme tune.

One time I was listening to a Tom Waits playlist while I slept, and I woke up in a half-alseep daze to this song, and it was the most terrified I've been in my entire life. Just thinking about it gives me chills.

My favorite story about Keith Richards involves Tom Waits. Richards calls Waits and says he wants to record with him. Waits says yes, so Richards drives a semi full of guitars in front of his place.

I don't know why more people don't talk about Shore Leave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pv8IM_-Bam0

Also his cameo in The Fisher King is great because I think they just found Tom Waits and started recording him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpEBOavYqHQ&t=38s
