Co-writer David Kirschner speculated that was done in favor of promoting The Nightmare Before Christmas as their Halloween movie instead - Sarah Jessica Parker's distant ancestor was accused of "sundry acts of witchcraft" during the actual Salem Witch Trials - there was a conscious effort to make the witches a female "Three Stooges" - director Kenny Ortega was an experienced choreographer, and made the decision to direct his actors, especially the three main actresses, as if they were dancers: counting, having them land on specific beats, etc. - there are way too many covers of "Come Little Children" on YouTube and most of them are terrible - Focus is an awesome band Edit: D'oh. I watched this at the weekend and must say I had no idea you were a forum member! I loved no small parts very, very much and I also really enjoy this series too. (The drop dead fred one is my favourite). Thank you for making it! I had no idea about most of the things you spoke about - especially that it was a dud. I live in the UK and it feels like it was way more popular over here!
