3840x2160, on a 27" with 150% UI scaling. 4k is cheap now (well, relatively. not really fuckoff expensive, at any rate). there was a terrible dark age from windows xp until cheap 4k displays where text would just look terrible in windows because cleartype was so poo poo and pixel sizes were so big. in windows 2000 it was sharp but wonky, but i had a hella sharp CRT at the time so i didn't care. it's been annoying to go from the work laptop (retina macbook) to the windows desktop machine at home and have to look at that garbage for years and years. sharp text is finally back, baby.
