Yesterday afternoon was a flurry of panicked messages to everyone I know who might in any way have been heading west to get home. One of my D&D friends was almost on that bus; he decided at the last minute to get something to eat instead, and take a later bus.

I found a voicemail on my phone from a number I didn't recognize asking if Jim was safe. I had to tell them it was a wrong number, and now I can't stop wondering if they ever got in touch with Jim :ohdear:

they were probably scammers just verifying your phone number tbh so sit back and relax
