Hi, I'm going to be spending 10 days in April on the left half of Iceland cause I'm trying to watch the aurora. I know Iceland has a shitton of poets and writers and a huge book culture, I'd love to check out any live readings or events but I haven't found much. I think there's a bar in Reykjavik which had a poetry slam once but that's about all. Anything else I should check out? I don't really dig loud nightclubs and alcohol isn't my preferred drug. And before you ask YES i am going to go to the witches museum and YES i am going to attempt to bribe them to let me wear the Horror Pants. also, I don't speak Icelandic but I don't care. I'll sit in a room and not understand a drat thing if it sounds nice enough. That's basically opera anyway.
