That was a great episode, I especially loved seeing the mundane and dreary explanations for all of the heart-rending lyrics in the song while Wota was singing it.

Nice little ending there. It diverged from the manga, and for some reason cut one of the funnier gags from it when Wasada realizes that it's entirely possible that Yamai and Baka are so stupid to go to their first-year classroom. Probably my favorite opening credits song of the season too.

Wait, why is this getting a J-Drama? Was it unexpectedly popular? I loved it and all (Hell, its high Nichijou/Nichibros energy made it get into my Top 5) but I didn't really expected this to get a live-action/J-Drama adaptation.

I figure it's cheaper to produce live action than animation, and the material lends itself just as well to that. That poster does say "continuing from the anime" so it's not even a remake.
