At this point I believe they realistically have two choices outside doing something a little out there. They send him to the LA dojo with Ren or they temporarily end his excursion and have him wrestle in Japan. I am not sure what other countries are running wrestling right now that would be safe enough to send him. It really could not have happened at a worse time for Shota.

I'm rewatching some 2020 highlights in the downtime before WK and Mox vs. Suzuki was even more fun than I remembered. On the other hand, I miss crowds being able to make noise and wrestlers brawling on the outside, and I'm sad we never got the Mox/ZSJ match they set up.

On the Shooter front, I just noticed this going back to the BOSJ 26 Finals: I never get tired of the sheer perfect cinematography that New Japan manages as a matter of course. Those TV Asahi crews don't miss a loving beat, I tell ya. A Young Lion attending to a guy he trained with who's still knocked silly, but keeping a wary eye on the wildman stalking around the ring. It's like they set up Shota/Mox at Dominion in one single shot!

It is Jan 1 in Japan but I guess a good idea is to wait until people say the payment for this month has gone through; it hasn’t for me. Honestly even though the WK cards are diluted this year, I'm stoked to have two days of it. It's hard to get through a day of work so two days of 3 hours of New Japan is going to be bliss.

So I've started playing the Yakuza series and I'm aware that the game has quite some NJPW cameos. I'm kind of curious how the deal went between Sega and NJPW/Bushiroad there. I think around the same time Tekken 7 had a NJPW collab as well. (did that lead to SHO playing a lot of Tekken, or is it the other way around)

There's a sidequest in 5 where you go fishing with the President of Sushizanmai (the clap thing that YOSHI-HASHI and Goto do is his gimmick) and he makes you a special sushi plate.
