I thought acronym meant any set of initials. Turns out it's only when you can pronounce that set of initials (ex. SCUBA, RADAR, NORAD). Otherwise it's just an initialism (ex. CPU, LTE, GBS).

Basically he'd include lol at the end of a joking sentence and she misunderstood it for a lots of love (I think) type email signoff, and years later after figuring it out thought of all the times she'd sent him an email like "Here's your quarterly financial statement, LOL."

She brought it up to him later and he just shook his head and laughed.

I miss Prince.
