His smooth, relaxing vibe has no place in this world anymore.

In the UK he was mostly known for his song "Lovely Day" which none of the news articles seem to mention - was it not as big of a hit in the USA? Either way it sucks that he's dead, RIP.

I haven't heard hide or hair about whether or not this British folk hero's song: "Lovely Day" was mentioned anywhere and it seems to even be scrubbed from his various discographies does anyone else remember this song??

I meant more the headlines - Like the first song I thought of when I heard his name was "Lovely Day." Maybe it's just me. Also it was used in the UK quite some time after its original release in an advert for our Nation's Favourite Tea brand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1gPmzdVRVo

Lean On Me is my karaoke song. I know every lilt and quiver in that man's voice. He was 81 but 2020 is still a pile of poo poo.

I remember it being on some commercial. Possibly arthritis medication? Pretty sure it was some kind of medication. That's the only reason I know that song honestly

Just listened to "Lovely Day" and I'm surprised that I've somehow never heard this song before, ever. "Ain't No Sunshine", "Just the Two of Us", and "Lean On Me" were etched into my memory from a very early age, but I completely missed this apparently very popular hit of his.
