Are you looking at me Senpai?

Grimey Drawer
Are there any goons that work in a medical tech/medical device/orthopedics/"let's put stuff in people's bodies that helps their health issues!" firms? I've got a relative that's been in the industry since 2007, got laid off in February, and is relocating to northern NJ to be closer to family. He's been keeping his eyes out on the job boards for anything that he knows how to do, but it's been tough, especially since he hasn't really done much relationship-building or networking.

Is anyone in the industry? If so would you be open to networking with him? He's a good person, really smart - his degree's in biomed engineering, he's a US citizen, and his experience has been in spinal device quality engineering. I think it was mostly complaint response, defect and failure analysis, etc. He's a great learner if he's got the opportunity to pick something up with the right situation or teacher. He's able to start immediately remotely, in-person after 10/1/2020.

He's been camping the job boards for Stryker and BD, and trying to keep an eye out for positions on job boards that might be through agencies representing them, but it never hurts to cast the net to other places or people we may not know of yet. Johnson & Johnson supposedly does their spinal devices in the Bridgewater area, but it might be under different companies yet to be discovered.

Mods, if this sort of thread isn't kosher, please let me know or delete.

I think Cordis has a facility in NJ too. I don't have any networking contacts to provide, though.

GOOSE FUCKER
That's the J&J devices branch. It's on 22 West right near the shop rite I used to work at.

My wife works there thru a temp agency (kelly) but she's been there about a year and people like her. All the engineers are J&J employees. She's doing this coding bootcamp and hopes to get a job doing that still with J&J. He can email her if he wants.

What's your field? I'm dying in my import export career and trying to transition into either pornography or becoming a lottery winner. PM me.
