if anybody knows how to put a (legal and not plagiarized) music bed to these poems or has suggestions on that which won't cause me to become destitute, i would like to attempt to try and make these seem more ROBUST in all actuality there is no processing to these poems other than i recorded it on my mixer directly to vocaroo, so sometimes if it is weird it's because i am not doing any post-processing and just letting it rip. also, i shall continue posting more poem readings tomorrow or so, thank you all for sharing your incredible, hilarious, touching, and uplifting creativity and all around fantastic tastes |

Bad dream, by Chewbecca Crawling skin, beating heart Brief moments of recall A simulacrum of a human, not quite there A skelly peeled from the wall An exes house with all my stuff An assignment overdue I'll lose my job, lose my degree! A dead family member or two Crawling skin, beating heart Brief moments of recall Why do bad dreams stay with you, But good dreams not at all?

fun fact: wallace stevens once got his face punched in by ernest hemingway A Rabbit as King of the Ghosts The difficulty to think at the end of day, When the shapeless shadow covers the sun And nothing is left except light on your fur— There was the cat slopping its milk all day, Fat cat, red tongue, green mind, white milk And August the most peaceful month. To be, in the grass, in the peacefullest time, Without that monument of cat, The cat forgotten in the moon; And to feel that the light is a rabbit-light, In which everything is meant for you And nothing need be explained; Then there is nothing to think of. It comes of itself; And east rushes west and west rushes down, No matter. The grass is full And full of yourself. The trees around are for you, The whole of the wideness of night is for you, A self that touches all edges, You become a self that fills the four corners of night. The red cat hides away in the fur-light And there you are humped high, humped up, You are humped higher and higher, black as stone— You sit with your head like a carving in space And the little green cat is a bug in the grass.

Annabel Lee BY EDGAR ALLAN POE It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of Annabel Lee; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me. I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love— I and my Annabel Lee— With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven Coveted her and me. And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling My beautiful Annabel Lee; So that her highborn kinsmen came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulchre In this kingdom by the sea. The angels, not half so happy in Heaven, Went envying her and me— Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee. But our love it was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we— Of many far wiser than we— And neither the angels in Heaven above Nor the demons down under the sea Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride, In her sepulchre there by the sea— In her tomb by the sounding sea. |

i took a night off because my back was killin me but i will record the big poems tonight, probably! i also am going to fiddle a bit with my mixer to make the recordings more pleasant-sounding since some feedback on the side I got was that the ess-noises are a bit unpleasant |
