tanglewood1420 posted:Nba twitter strikes again! This is such a good gimmick. He's a lot like Jontay, if he was healthy he'd be a lottery pick but he's never healthy. I'd have him as the second best center after Onyeka if I had any faith in his ankles holding up.

this was a perfectly fine choice for where they were. ~6'7, 6'10 wingspan, excellent team defender and shoots 3s very well (assuming his jump shot still works). that is a tried and true spurs type sf player (bowen, kawhi, capt jack). think about how bryn forbes started like every game last year and just replace him with this dude and we're winning 10 more games. mix and match other developing players and things are looking ok for the spurs. plus there's still time to fix the frontcourt stuff before the season starts/next year. its not as exciting as trading up, but its reassuring because it fits a tried and true organizational archetype

Awesome shooter, I didn't watch him outside of clips but the Prep2Pro guys got on him late and were talking him up.

OKC, while it has nothing of great cultural value really, is pretty cool and chill. I should be moving there soonish. Adams gotta teach Poku how to smash steaks.

It appears that the Pels current strategy is to develop who they have, pay some vets, and then use all these future picks they traded for to fill out the bench when the roster starts to become too expensive. Or just use them in a trade for better players.

MourningView posted:what the gently caress why would you do this now?? Who is taking him before 38? Lol. I know poo poo about modern scouting, but even I'm surprised the most 2000s of center prospects went in the first. Also, I have no idea who any of the Mavs dudes are.
