Taskmaster is a British show where 5 comedians "compete" in hopefully comedic challenges.

Eggplants.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfOQai_3yZ0.
Goons like video games right?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUOri65S1S0.
Most popular challenge on the youtube channel.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UgSDcHPgCc

You can even watch some full episodes on youtube. They also did this home task thing because of coronavirus which is kind of rad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tJCKtyz47E.

I like this show and was sad that they canceled the US version after like 1 episode that i didn't get to see because I don't have cable.

I've been following it on youtube since they started posting full episodes of the BBC show.

It's pretty good, but I feel like its much funnier if you have watched british panel shows before and are familiar with the personalities of the contestants.

Eh maybe but as an American I don't find it necessary.

I binged series 1-7 over the last week, abosutely hilarious show. I'm on 8 right now though and it's definitely the worst cast yet.

Nonsense, has to be season 3 since it made them change the cast formula (what if we had another women?!). Could be season 8 though since I barely remember that group.

I'm just astonished at how quickly this show settled into it's final form. I mean, the very first episode has Romesh Ranganathan smashing the watermelon and then eating so much that he throws up, which is pretty much the vibe of the entire thing.

The first season also has Josh Widdicombe getting Greg's name tattooed on his foot which is quite a commitment to a panel show.

I love this show so much. I came in with no knowledge of any of these people save Noel Fielding in 4, and I have grown to love them. Seasons 4 and 7 are fantastic, but Bob Mortimer alone makes 5 worth it.
I am not 100% feeling season 10 but I'm still all-in.

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

I like that from reading the thread title alone I was able to go "oh hey a Taskmaster thread".

It's a great show. Even in its weakest seasons (like season 3) there's still some hilarious individual moments. Season 7 is far and away the best though in terms of just great content all the way through.

There was quite a lot of stuffing pineapple down pants and in undergarments in the Conceal This Pineapple On Your Person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-PzBCjd4kg

I am also really enjoying Mawaan Rizwan and Johnny Vegas in Season 10, although I agree there's something a bit off about it (covid, it's covid).

I don't think the covid stuff made any difference to my enjoyment. Although I'm kind of the opinion that unnecessary work should probably be kept to a minimum and season 10 of the Taskmaster does not qualify as anywhere close to necessary.

i really like that episode where alex got his ear pierced and was wearing a big dangly earing
so greg deliberately ignores it for the entire episode and the entire gag is wasted

very good

alex horne gets bullied every single episode of this show

IM SO BAD AT ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT F1 IN ANY MEANINGFUL WAY SOME DUDE WITH TOO MUCH FREE MONEY WILL KEEP CHANGING IT UNTIL I SHUT THE FUCK UP OR ACTUALLY POST SOMETHING THAT ISNT SPEWING HATE/SLURS/TELLING PEOPLE TO KILL THEMSELVES
This and Would I lie to you are the only two British panel shows I can watch. As great as Taskmaster is, watching David Mitchell’s slow descent into madness every time he has to figure out whether Bob Mortimer is lying or not is mankind’s greatest gift.

Alex Horne is the gem of the show. His podcast is also really good and the humor is pretty similar, just themed with music instead. I get some of the tunes stuck my head quite a bit even though a lot of it is just improv. That, and I expect Taskmaster to open with "Hello, good evening, and welcome!" and it never does.

He's been a little sassier in Season 10, probably because he's no longer within arm's reach of Greg.
