As much fun as trade deadlines are, giving every player an in-season (waivable) no-trade clause is probably the right thing to do. Off-season trades can still happen but if a guy is like "wtf, I don't want to move" having to wait seems humane. If a team really needs to a move a guy, working with them to find somewhere they'd be willing to waive their no-trade would motivate teams to find something that works for everybody.

I feel like that's just going to benefit large market teams and also result in teams strong-arming players, especially if they're on rookie deals or are bench guys. I don't know if you can really fix trades, the entire model is dumb.
